Information and Communication Technologies: OAS
Luis Cevasco y Juan Gustavo CorvalanIn line with the tasks of research, analysis and production of quality legal technical documentation carried out by the Attorney’s General Office of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, undertaken with the aim of providing citizens with relevant and useful material for dissemination and better knowledge of the legal treatment of several subjects, we present this digital booklet. The objective of this work is to systematize the documents connected with information and communications technology (ICT) issued by international organizations of the Americas: Organization of American States (OAS) and Latin American Center for Development Administration (CLAD).
On the basis of segmenting different aspects of this thematic area by title and subtitle, we have selected and systematized the relevant paragraphs of the analyzed documents, which can be accessed by clicking on each specific subtitle. In order to carry out this systematization, the following material has been analyzed: declarations and resolutions created in sixteen regular sessions of the OAS General Assembly, documents issued by the Summits of the Americas and Meetings of Ministers. Also documents issued by existing bodies within the framework of regional organization such as the Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL), the Inter-American Council for Integral Development (CIDI), the Inter-American Committee against Terrorism (CICTE), and the Special Rapporteur for Freedom of Expression from the InterAmerican Commission on Human Rights. The analysis also includes two Charters from CLAD.
